Register for Lake Superior Youth Chorus' Resident Choir Program

LSYC's Resident Choir program is comprised of the organization's premiere choir ensembles that rehearse September through May. Registration for this program is by audition only. If you haven't auditioned or received a choir placement, go to www.lsyouthchorus.org/choirs to learn more about LSYC's audition opportunities.

Cantemus is our advanced treble choir and one of the two main touring and performing ensembles for LSYC. Cantemus focuses on singing a diverse repertoire, using healthy vocal technique, and learning advanced music theory. The group rehearses on Sunday nights for two hours.

Camerata is our advanced tenor bass choir and one of the two main touring and performing ensembles for LSYC. This group focuses on singing a diverse repertoire, using healthy vocal technique during voice change, and learning advanced music theory. The group rehearses on Sunday nights for two hours.

Concert Choir is our intermediate treble choir. Singers become familiar with many styles of music and singing in multiple parts. Learning basic music reading skills and aural development is also emphasized. The group rehearses on Sunday nights for two hours.

Choristers is our beginner treble choir, focusing on developing healthy vocal technique, the ability to sing in unison and two parts, aural skills, and basic music reading through exposure to a wide variety of musical styles and genres. Choristers rehearses on Sunday nights for two hours.

Cadenza is our training choir. Cadenza meets during the spring semester and is made up of singers who previously excelled in LSYC’s Outreach Programs. Singers focus on healthy vocal technique, building ensemble, and basic music reading skills. Cadenza rehearses rehearses on Sunday nights for two hours during the spring semester.
